The Vidal's Mon Ami web site is a prototype to explore miniature on-premises solutions using existing InfoSpace technologies. It is not yet a product available to the general public, but if you believe it should be, please let us know by using the webmaster link below.
InfoSpace's proprietary software architecture allows ad services, user manager services and web services to be provided on ultra low cost Microsoft Windows platforms (like Windows 98). Take a $600 computer, add $60 a month of DSL bandwidth, add also the license fee for the InfoSpace server software, and it is possible to operate a web site just like this one for very cheap, and you retain full control! If and when traffic grows, it is then easy to migrate the web site to InfoSpace's Datacenter which provide 24 hour technical support, lots of bandwidth, and many many many other cool services.
InfoSpace's content solutions offer a slew of cobranded services to complement your themed site and these solutions help bring and retain more users. News, stock quotes, white pages, yellow pages, classifieds, shopping, government information, health...
